They will be on hand to prevent crime and provide help and reassurance. They will be supported by plain clothes officers and our mounted and dog units, all working together to help keep people safe during the festive season.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The prevention of violence against women and girls is at the forefront of the City of London Police\u2019s Christmas message, with thousands of revellers out celebrating in the Square Mile.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A number of safety initiatives, aimed at keeping women safe, will be running through the Christmas period and into the New Year, including:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>\u2018Walk and Talk\u2019 scheme, where women visiting, working or living in the City of London can &#8216;Walk and Talk&#8217; with an officer, to share their thoughts on safety and on areas which they have concerns about.<\/li>\n<li>Spiking training workshops for licensed premises staff on what to do if someone reports a drink spiking.
